With more than 200 clinical specialties available under one virtual roof, 42,000 successful clinical patient visits took place via the Ontario Telemedicine Network last year. In addition to direct referrals to specialist physicians, you can also access other specialty care professionals like dieticians, speech language therapists and advanced nurse care practitioners via OTN.
Results from our Referring Provider Survey highlight the key benefits of telemedicine for referring physicians:
- Improved timelines of diagnosis and treatment
- Patients receive at least equivalent quality of care via OTN as traditional face-to-face visits
- An improved ability to manage patients closer to home
